TONIGHTS GAME (7-3-2008) POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

Tonight’s Little Falls Miner game against the Bennington Bombers has been postponed due to weather. No make up date as been set. The Miner’s next home game is Thursday, July 10th when they take on the Glens Falls Golden Eagles. Game time is slated for 7P.M. It will be thirsty Thursday as well as Little Falls Hospital Night at Veterans Memorial Park.

Miners Split Doubleheader with Wizards

Little Falls, NY- What should have been a two seven-inning-game doubleheader, turned into a regular nine inning first game and seven inning second game. The Miners split the winnings with the Watertown Wizards of the second doubleheader in a row this week. Game One the Wizards acquired an 8-7 win in extra innings and the Miners pulled out a 3-1 victory in Game Two.

The Miners have another doubleheader Tuesday night against the Watertown Wizards, first game starts at 5 p.m. with the second game to follow.

Miners Come Up Short in Mohawks Doubleheader

Little Falls, NY- The Miners took on the Amsterdam Mohawks in a doubleheader on Monday evening at Vet’s Park. They haven’t played at home in over a week due to numerous rain postponements. They Miners couldn’t seem to get either of the seven inning games to go in their favor. They lost the first game 1-0, out-hitting the Mohawks 3-2. The story of the second game was of their problem with leaving men on base. Although, both teams had totals of 11 hits, the Mohawks finished with a win of 11-5, and swept the doubleheader.
