Head Coach - Justin Gordon
|

Justin Gordon, a former professional pitcher with six years of minor-league experience, is in his second season as head coach with the Little Falls Miners. Currently the pitching coach at Northeastern University where the Huskies pitching staff recorded 25 wins and a school record 289 K’s. Gordon spent 2007 as the Temple University pitching coach, and the 2005 and 2006 seasons as the pitching coach at Western Illinois, helping lead the Leathernecks to the Mid-Continent Conference championship game and a school-record 32 wins in 2006. Gordon spent the 2006 summer as the pitching coach for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod League. This past June, he mentored staff ace Dan Merklinger (Seton Hall) to all-Cape Cod League honors. Merklinger, like Gordon, was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the Major League Baseball Draft. In his final season at Western Illinois his staff tied for the league lead in saves (10) and finished second in the league in team ERA (5.27), strikeouts (360) and opponents' batting average (.287) last spring. Gordon guided junior pitcher Quinn Leath to first team All-Mid-Con honors after leading the league in ERA (2.06) and opponents batting average (.224). He went 8-2 and fanned 54 batters in 78.2 innings. Gordon, 28, was drafted in the 1999 Major League Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers after spending one year at Massasoit (Mass.) CC. He spent five seasons in the Brewers organization. He went 5-5 with a 4.26 ERA in 2000 for the Ogden Raptors and was named a Pioneer League All-Star. In 2002 Gordon recorded five saves and striking out 72 batters in 83.1 innings in Class A-Advanced California Baseball League for with the High Desert Mavericks. In 2003 Gordon finished his career with the North Shore Spirit in the Northeast League, going 2-2 with a 3.68 ERA, including a 2-0 record with a 0.71 ERA during the playoffs.Last summer, in his first season with the Miners, Gordon helped Little Falls return to the NYCBL Playoffs. His team finished 16-25 during the 2007 summer. Four Miners were selected to the NYCBL All-Star team under Gordon and his staff (Donaldson, Rossignol, Edwards, Thielbar). |

Assistant Coach – Ryan Cougill |

Ryan Cougill is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the
Little Falls Miners. From 2001-2002 Cougill played at Joliet Junior
College(IL), and from 2003-2004 at Western Illinois University where he
was named a Mid-Continent Conference all-star each year during his
collegiate career. After his playing career, he spent one year on the
staff at Western Illinois. In 2006 Cougill was an assistant coach at
Joliet CC. In 2007 Cougill was an assistant coach at Reed-Custer High
School in Braidwood, IL. This past season marked his first season as a
member of the New Mexico Junior College Coaching Staff. Cougill has his
degree in Exercise Physiology and resides in Hobbs, NM.

Assistant Coach - Clay Kuklick |

Kuklick is in his first season with the Miners, and will work with the
team's pitchers and catchers. A native of North Wales, Pa., Kuklick is also
in his first campaign as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Kutztown
(Pa.) University. Previously, the 25-year-old played three seasons of
professional baseball as a catcher in the Can-Am League. He spent the 2007
and 2006 seasons with the New Jersey Jackals and the 2005 campaign with the
Elmira (N.Y.) Pioneers. His best season came in 2006, when he hit .306 with
nine doubles and 27 RBI in 57 games for the Jackals.
As a collegian, Kuklick was a four-year starting catcher for Kutztown from
2002 to 2005. A 2005 second-team All-Pennsylvania State Conference East
choice, Kuklick ended his career among KU’s all-time leaders in games
played, at-bats, runs, hits and times hit by pitch. |

Assistant Coach - Peter Anadio |

Peter Anadio enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Little Falls Miners baseball team. Coach Anadio helped lead Herkimer CC to a
35-8 record and a third place finish in the World Series. Along with on the field responsibilities, Coach PJ acts as a recruiting coordinator for the program.
Anadio played high school baseball at Gloversville High School, where he was a three-year starter for the varsity team. Anadio transferred to HCCC from Hartwick College and was named a two-year captain for the baseball team under coach Hank Testa. As a freshman, he batted .389 for the Generals and was selected to the All-Mountain Valley Conference Team (2000).
Anadio is employed as a technical assistant at Herkimer County Community College Fitness Center. He previously worked and coached at Fulton Montgomery Community College. He resides in Herkimer with his son Evan and fiancé. |
